Emirates National Schools (ENS) first opened its doors in 2002 in Mohammed Bin Zayed City. ENS was established by Presidential Decree and is owned by the Ministry of Presidential Affairs. Our schools currently consist of five campuses. Three of the campuses are in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the cities of Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Al Ain City, Abu Dhabi City and in the Emirates of Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.

Emirates National Schools (ENS) adopted curriculum is based upon American Common Core Standards in English, Math, and Science and the United Arab Emirates – Ministry of Education program for Arabic, Islamic and UAE Social Studies. Our students must earn a minimum of 53 credits in grades 9 -12 in order to receive an ENS American Diploma. To deliver our instructional programs, our schools use the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) frameworks for the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Years Programme (DP). We also have College Board Advanced Placement courses available in grades 11 and 12, in some content areas. You may be aware that the IB Diploma Program (IBDP) is recognized in colleges and universities in more than 128 countries and the College Board Advanced Placement program (AP) is recognized worldwide in colleges as well.
